On the afternoon of May 30, 2022, at 2:19 P. M., God called home One of his angels.  Gloria Dean Chatmon departed this earth for Her heavenly home at 85 years old, at Flower Mound Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, TX.

Gloria was born to Bertha Vance Chatmon and Porter Chatmon, Sr. on February 22, 1937 in Claiborne Parish.

Gloria was one of four siblings.  She dedicated her life to Christ at an early age and joined the Mt. Olive Church Family.

Gloria graduated from Webster High School in 1957 and went on to further her education at Grambling State University where she majored in English.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, two brothers, Grady T. Chatmon and Porter Chatmon Jr., and sister-in-law, Winnie Chatmon.

Gloria leaves to cherish her memory, one loving and devoted son, Christopher B. Nabors, of Dallas, TX; two grandsons, Alex and Ashton Nabors, also of Dallas, TX; sisters, Rose Chatmon Taylor, Ruby Palmer, and Gladys Chatmon; sister-in-law Gloria Moody Chatmon.  And a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
